Deploying to Disasters
When humanitarians deploy to the scene of a natural disaster, they are confronted by a unique set of challenges. They will be presented with situations that place them under huge physical and psychological pressure, coupled with threats to their personal safety and security.
ILS and InterHealth have come together to offer their respective expertise in safety and security and physical and psychological wellbeing to deliver a unique new training programme that recognises the specific challenges that deploying to disasters presents.
This course equips emergency response teams with the undserstanding and tools to stay safe, physically fit and metally well in order to operate effectively in sudden onset disasters.
