Our Digital Safety and Security services are tailored to focus on the unique intersections of human rights advocates, campaigns and programmes in the face of growing technological advances by threat actors, both state and non-state.

1)     Document and Policy Development: Digital Security Guides, Policies, Procedures and Protocol

a.    As part of our wider Security Risk Advisory services, ILS offerspolicy and procedure development, including Digital Security protocols. Ourapproach aims to assess existing materials, and fill the gaps, ensuring thatpolicies and procedures are fit for purpose, and consider the intersections oforganisational mandates, operating contexts, internal systems and tools. ILSalso considers the gaps between policy and practice ensuring that all documentsproduced are implementable in practice.

b.    ILS regularly develops safety and security guidebooks and aide memoirsfor clients providing quick and easy access to key safety andsecurity information. Having developed a tailored “ILS Aide Memoire,” which isdistributed to all participants who complete any training course, we also developsmaller guides related specifically to Digital Security, Physical Security,Mental Health and Wellbeing, Safeguarding, and Travel Safety. These guides aretailored to security policies, procedures and protocols of the clients thatrequest them.
