‘The involvement of humanitarian workers in acts of sexual exploitation and abuse is a grave violation of our responsibility to do no harm and to protect people affected by crises.’ - United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
Safeguarding and Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is integral to your organisation’s duty of care, to your staff and to those they work with.
Safeguarding also lies at the heart of enterprise risk. It has to be proactively managed to maintain project sustainability.
We have developed an integrated approach that allows our clients to consider PSEA and Safeguarding at all four stages of the risk management cycle:
- Discover: Conduct a review of your safeguarding and PSEA practises, and needs, as part of our Discovery process
- Develop: Create policies, procedures, tools, and practises to safeguard your staff and the communities you work with
- Implement: Put in place good practices around reporting, incident management, travel risk and reviews
- Assure: Integrate ongoing organisation wide good practise through the development and rollout of staff training and mentoring programmes
